Magnificent events aimed at supporting the development of agriculture and food security in the United Arab Emirates were manifested in the opening of the second annual exhibition "Al-Dhaid Agri-expo" in the town of Al-Dhaid in Sharjah Emirate. The event was organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
The Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Dr. Amin bin Mohamed Al-Hashimi, noted that the "Al-Dhaid Agri-expo" and other similar events aim to support local farmers and stimulate the sales of their products at the national level. He emphasized that the UAE authorities pay great attention to providing food security and the development of the agricultural sector, which is reflected in the growth of agricultural production volumes and the introduction of advanced technologies.
At the opening of the event, attendees visited the exhibition halls, where the newest technologies for agriculture, equipment, and innovative solutions were presented, including various methods for improving the process of cultivating grains and seeds, modern technologies for hydroponics and vertical farming, as well as effective irrigation systems and quality fertilizers.
The exhibition represents a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences among participants and farmers, providing valuable opportunities to communicate with experts and specialists in agriculture. The events aim to showcase the latest innovations before adopting decisions and current guidelines of the sector. Among the exhibitors are organic fertilizers, environmentally friendly solutions.
The organizers plan to present for four days an extensive assortment of modern technologies and innovative solutions for agriculture with an emphasis on growing grains and seeds, focusing on hydroponics and vertical farming.
