Dubai Launches AI Seal to Boost Trust in AI Companies

The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has announced the launch of the "Dubai AI Seal" aimed at fostering trust in the reputation of companies engaged in artificial intelligence and establishing a foothold as a global leader in the field of AI. The initiative was launched under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation, in conjunction with the "Dubai Universal Plan for AI."

The certification of trusted companies with the "Dubai AI Seal" provides a framework for ongoing partnerships between government entities and technology companies. The initiative aims to stimulate new economic opportunities through the use of AI for more effective servicing of the economy, society, and the future we aspire to.

The "Dubai AI Seal" has several key goals: ensuring accessible and reliable ways to verify AI service providers, creating business opportunities in Dubai for companies working with AI, and recognizing the strategic importance of companies involved in AI for the economy of Dubai.

Highlighting the economic significance of the AI sector, its potential to create new jobs, and its role in strengthening alliances between government entities and technology companies, the initiative emphasizes the importance of AI in the everyday lives of Dubai's residents.

The "Dubai AI Seal" will be awarded to all certified companies, including a unique serial number and classification. Companies wishing to be selected as partners in OAE and Dubai government projects must have the AI Seal certification. Certified companies will be able to display the emblem on their digital platforms and in advertising campaigns, demonstrating their reliability and authenticity.

All licensed companies providing AI-related products or services in Dubai are invited to submit applications free of charge. Applications will be evaluated across six key areas: the nature of the companies' activities and services, the number of employees specializing in AI, current and future projects, as well as partnerships in public and private sectors.

Speaking about the initiative, His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, Executive Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, which oversees DCAI, noted: "This initiative will help create strong partnerships between the public and private sectors on local, regional, and global levels. This first-of-its-kind initiative will establish a network of trusted companies, on which government entities and business can rely for reliable and responsive solutions in the field of AI."
