The international charitable organization MBRGI continues its support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), committing to allocate 36.7 million dirhams (10 million US dollars) to sustainable projects and programs aimed at assisting forcibly displaced communities. This is already the second major donation from MBRGI to UNHCR since the beginning of 2021. The total contribution of the organization to UNHCR's work during this time amounted to 163.6 million dirhams.
The General Secretary of MBRGI, Al-Ghergavi, emphasized that this collaboration reflects the organization's strategy to strengthen partnerships with humanitarian organizations. The agreement on the donation was signed within the framework of the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, Switzerland.
UNHCR expressed gratitude to MBRGI for long-term support and its role in ensuring the implementation of the mission to assist vulnerable and forcibly displaced communities. UNHCR's Head, Grandi, stated that strategic partnership and ongoing cooperation with MBRGI is a key factor in ensuring the sustainability of projects and programs for forcibly displaced people worldwide.
Since 2021, thanks to MBRGI's generous support, the lives of more than 700,000 refugees and forcibly displaced individuals in 13 countries have been significantly improved. The international initiative continues to actively cooperate with UNHCR, increasing its contributions to support at-risk communities globally.
