A new study conducted by experts from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) predicts growth in global trade in the coming years. According to the researchers' opinion, as a result of recent changes in the global economy, trade is expected to gradually recover and continue to show sustainable growth. In particular, it is anticipated that trade volume will increase by 12% by 2024.
The BCG study also considers various scenarios that could affect international trade, including the acceleration of digital transformation, changes in global supply chains, as well as new tariff and trade agreements between countries. As noted by the chief expert at BCG, this will contribute to more sustainable and effective development of global trade as a whole.
"We generally expect that global trade will recover against the backdrop of a complex situation and gradually show moderate but stable growth. Future trade will depend on a number of factors, including geopolitical constraints, technological innovations, and changes in consumer preferences," the expert emphasized in their research.
