In 2024, Dubai International Airport (DXB) set a new record by welcoming 92.3 million passengers. This marks the highest annual passenger traffic in the history of the airport. This figure surpassed the previous record of 89.1 million passengers set in 2018. Additionally, DXB topped the World Airport Council rankings as the busiest international airport for the past 10 years.

According to the head of Dubai Airports, Paul Griffiths, exceeding the milestone of 92 million passengers is historically significant for both DXB and Dubai. He noted that the results this year have surpassed projections by nearly 200,000 passengers, which affirms DXB's global appeal.

The airport reported servicing 81.2 million passengers while maintaining a service quality level of 99.45%. Despite the sharp increase in passenger numbers, 98.2% of them spent less than 10 minutes at passport control upon departure, while 99.2% were processed in under 5 minutes at security.

In 2024, DXB handled 2.2 million tons of cargo, increasing the previous year’s figure by 20.5%. The total number of airlines increased by 5.7% to 440, with the load factor standing at 78.1%. The airport continues to set standards as one of the most connected airports in the world.

As DXB celebrates its record year in 2024, it is already aiming for the future, ambitiously planning to reach a milestone of 100 million passengers annually by 2027.
