
In 2024, Dubai's Digital Economy Palace successfully enhanced its efforts for the development of advanced technologies and strengthened Dubai's position as a global hub for the digital economy. Throughout the year, 21 initiatives were held aimed at supporting startups, developing talents, strengthening partnerships, and improving the business ecosystem.
Under the banner of Expand North Star 2024, 1,800 startups and 1,200 investors with total assets exceeding 1 trillion dollars were gathered for the exchange of experiences. The palace organized 20 international roadshows in global markets to promote the Expand North Star program and showcase the digital business ecosystem of the emirate.
As part of the initiative 'Create an App in Dubai,' the palace announced support for the creation and development of 1,210 digital startups in Dubai in 2024, representing a 120% increase compared to the previous year. Such indicators testify to Dubai's growing attractiveness for entrepreneurs, especially those specializing in key digital sectors.
In the past year, the palace also trained 1,333 Emirati citizens on the basics of mobile application development, which represents a 170% increase compared to the previous year. The need for stimulating the growth of digital startups for harnessing future opportunities in Dubai was also highlighted.
H.O. was sent within the framework of the initiative 'Create an App in Dubai' to train and qualify 1,000 Emirati citizens to improve digital capabilities in the UAE.
