
The committee on fuel prices in the UAE announced an increase in fuel prices for February 2025. Prices for gasoline and diesel have risen by 12-14 fils per liter compared to January.
The new fuel prices, effective from February 1, 2025, are: - Diesel: 2.82 dirhams per liter (an increase of 14 fils compared to 2.68 dirhams in January) - Gasoline Super 98: 2.74 dirhams per liter (an increase of 13 fils compared to 2.61 dirhams in January) - Gasoline Special 95: 2.63 dirhams per liter (an increase of 13 fils compared to 2.50 dirhams in January) - Gasoline E-Plus 91: 2.55 dirhams per liter (an increase of 12 fils compared to 2.43 dirhams in January)
These new tariffs include a 5% tax on the added cost and are an adjustment after the price freeze in January 2025, when the tariffs remained unchanged since December 2024.
Compared to January 2025, all types of fuel experienced a price increase. In January, fuel prices were as follows: - Diesel: 2.68 dirhams per liter - Super 98: 2.61 dirhams per liter - Special 95: 2.50 dirhams per liter - E-Plus 91: 2.43 dirhams per liter
The price of diesel has increased by 14 fils, Super 98 by 13 fils, Special 95 by 13 fils, and E-Plus 91 by 12 fils.
Drivers are advised to be informed of price adjustments throughout the month. Despite the recent increase, fuel prices are currently more than 7% lower than in January 2024.
The fuel pricing system in the UAE, controlled by the Ministry of Energy, is reviewed monthly based on global oil prices and operational costs for distributors.
