Dubai South, the largest single-urban master development focusing on aviation, logistics, and real estate, aims to create a vibrant living and working community by leveraging its unique aviation, logistics, and real-estate products and services alongside world-class infrastructure solutions. The project plays a pivotal role in supporting the government's vision, economic diversification strategies, and future growth plans.
"Dubai South is Dubai’s largest single urban master development focusing on an aviation and logistics ecosystem that houses the world’s largest airport when fully operational," said HE Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South. Construction has started at the project, with a contractor appointed to oversee the development.
In 2024, several milestones were celebrated across Dubai South's various districts. GEMS Founders School welcomed over 500 students, and an agreement was signed with BT Properties for the development of a gated master community within Dubai South’s Golf District. The Logistics District at Dubai South saw significant progress, with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art FedEx hub, the opening of Boston Scientific’s regional distribution center, and the groundbreaking of a new facility by dnata Logistics. Additionally, the UAE’s autonomous vehicle trials saw success in collaboration with Evocargo.
Several agreements were signed in the aviation sector, with prominent players establishing their presence at the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub. A focus on attracting new companies while maintaining a high retention rate reflects the trust and confidence businesses have in Dubai South. Tim Aerospace, Jet Flight Services, and Comlux inaugurated new facilities at MBRAH, further enhancing the hub's offerings.
To meet the growing demand for apartments, Dubai South launched South Living, which garnered immense interest and achieved a complete sell-out. The year also saw significant leasing activity at the Dubai South Business Park and completion of Phase 1 of The Pulse Beachfront project. Phase 1 comprised over 200 units, with an additional 500 units from other phases set to be completed by the first half of 2025. Dubai South remains committed to fostering innovation, creating world-class infrastructure, and driving sustainable development to cater to dynamic business needs.
