Dubai Chambers Restructure to Boost Economic Growth

Dubai Chambers has restructured to enhance its role in economic development by establishing three distinct chambers. This aims to foster international partnerships and strengthen Dubai's position as a global business hub. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the new Boards of Directors to facilitate this initiative.

The authorities of Dubai are planning to strengthen the role of the commercial sector in supporting economic development and business growth in the emirate. The aim is also to stimulate international partnerships and accelerate the development of the digital economy to establish the status of the emirate as a leading global business hub for trade and investment.

The chairpersons of the three Dubai Chamber of Commerce councils, as well as their councils, including international figures in the field of business and commerce, engage in multifunctional management. This approach will help to consolidate the unique model of Dubai as a global business center.

The high-ranking official, having approved the composition of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce boards, was His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, ruler of Dubai. He also approved the composition of the boards and councils of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Dubai International Chamber, and Dubai Digital Economy Chamber. Additionally, they present proposals for solutions to pressing problems and recurring issues.

One of the important steps in 2021 was the approval of the restructuring of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce with the creation of three separate chambers within the Dubai Chamber of Commerce: Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Dubai Digital Economy Chamber, and Dubai International Chamber. This reflects the leadership strategy for meeting the future growth needs and strengthening the role of the Dubai Chambers as an economic arm of the emirate, the voice of the business community, and a key participant in the realization of Dubai's foreign trade plan.

The leadership has now included His Excellency Sultan Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce; Sultan bin Suleiman, Chairman of the Dubai International Chamber; and Omar Sultan Al Olama, Chairman of the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber. Among the board members are also notable figures.

The board of directors of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce includes various prominent figures playing important roles in representing and strengthening the economic sectors of the emirate. This model is based on effective partnerships with international companies, innovative businesses, and entrepreneurs.

Abdullah Al Gurair has been appointed as the honorary president of the Dubai Chambers of Commerce. He provides exceptional guidance and support to the chamber's leadership on key strategic issues and acts as the voice of the economic sectors, ensuring their needs are addressed in the recommendations of the leadership.
