The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) announced the launch of the "International Exhibition Grant," which aims to support exhibition spaces in Dubai and encourage participation in international art exhibitions. This grant is part of the "Dubai Cultural Grants" program, and aims to empower and support Emirati artists and increase their presence in the global art arena.
The "Art Dubai" group manages this new initiative, which will highlight the richness of the arts sector in Dubai and provide new opportunities for local exhibition spaces. The grant aims to create a creative environment that supports Emirati artists and residents, providing incentives to expand their presence in the emirate and enhance their impact on the local community.
To be eligible for the grant, the participating exhibition spaces must have a permanent location in Dubai and represent local artists for a period not less than three years. Additionally, they must offer a diverse artistic program in well-known institutions to increase access to a wider audience.
Saeed Mubarak bin Khirbash, Executive Director of the Arts and Design Sector at "Dubai Culture," emphasized the importance of this grant and its role in supporting local arts and enhancing Dubai's position as a leading hub for creativity. And Waleed Louri of "Al Quoz Art Gallery" highlighted the significance of the provided support and stated that it represents an enhancement of the presence of local exhibition spaces on the global stage.
