The International Energy Agency's flagship report predicts that the global demand for electricity will increase by approximately 4 percent by the end of 2027.
Experts note that this increase in electricity demand is primarily driven, first and foremost, by the development of economic structures and growing population. The role of digitalization and the transition to more energy-efficient technologies is also crucial.
"The process of digitalization, as well as the integration of electric mobility and smart home systems, will lead to increased electricity consumption," the specialists emphasized.
