
Empower, the world's largest district cooling services provider, has expanded its distribution pipeline network in various areas of Dubai to over 418 kilometers, with 88 district cooling plants in operation. The company experienced substantial growth in 2024, serving 1,637 buildings, a 7.2% increase from the previous year.
His Excellency Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, highlighted the company's strategic achievements, such as the completion of a new district cooling plant in Dubai's Deira district and the launch of construction on a plant in the prestigious Jumeirah area, aiming to provide services to 46 buildings.
Empower has focused on collaborations, signing MoUs with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) for developing district cooling systems and standards. The company's participation in global conferences and exhibitions, including receiving several awards for innovation and sustainability, has contributed to its international recognition.
The financial results for 2024 showed significant growth, with a historic annual revenue of AED 3.3 billion and a net profit of AED 908 million. Empower has been lauded for its environmental efforts, receiving certifications for sustainability practices and achievements in reducing carbon emissions.
