According to the Department of Economy and Tourism of Dubai, last year the emirate saw 824 thousand Chinese tourists. This is an increase of 31% compared to the previous year. China is one of the largest markets for tourism in Dubai.
Dubai focused its efforts on attracting Chinese tourists through the launch of multiple marketing campaigns and holding special events during the Chinese New Year. This increase in the number of Chinese tourists contributed to the establishment of a new tourism record in Dubai last year.
"In the past year, 18.72 million tourists from all over the world visited Dubai, which represents an increase of 9% compared to the previous year," noted the Department.
