At the fourth annual media forum, held at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Al-Jafiliya, the launch of a new digital platform called 'Salama' was announced. This project, utilizing artificial intelligence, is designed to expedite the service process and enhance the effectiveness of operations.
With the help of Salama, residents of Dubai can apply for their visas, as well as the visas of their dependents, in less than two minutes, moving to the official GDRFA Dubai website. The system, based on artificial intelligence, recognizes user data and simplifies the process in three simple steps: selecting the visa type, payment, and issuance of an updated residency visa.
This initiative reflects Dubai's commitment to digital transformation, strengthening its position as a global leader in the provision of smart government services. As organizers note, the new system contributes to increased operational efficiency and improved service quality for residents. One of the main advantages of Salama is the prompt processing of requests, which significantly economizes time for the user.
