The company "Spring Valley," specializing in the supply of food products and agricultural goods, announced its investment in the development of a new distribution center for essential agricultural products in the free zone of Jebel Ali (Jafza) with a total of 184 million dirhams.

The area of the new facility expands to more than 106,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced processing and storage equipment, including packaging, processing, and handling of consumer products.

It is anticipated that the first phase of the project will be completed in two years. After full launch, the center is expected to process more than 65,000 tons of cargo annually, including beans, specialties, and nuts, providing an annual output of over 440 million dirhams.

Abdullah Al-Hazimi, the acting director of operations for complex and free zones at "Dubai World" (GCC), stated: "This step emphasizes our readiness to invest in innovative solutions to ensure future supplies of agricultural products, as agricultural security is one of the most pressing issues we face today."

He added: "Dubai plays a key role as a trading center for agricultural products, as 75% of agricultural and beverage imports into the UAE pass through it," confirming the commitment to innovative work in the "Dubai World" project for agriculture and beverages, its developed logistics network, and vibrant business community.

Thomas Matthew, the acting director of "Spring Valley" in the food industry, noted that strategic positioning close to the global port guarantees the effectiveness of logistics services, which helps strengthen the position of the UAE as a leading center for agricultural products.
