Salik Announces Special Toll Rates for Ramadan

Salik has announced special toll rates for the holy month of Ramadan, starting from the first day. During peak hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the toll will be AED 6 per crossing. For off-peak hours between 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, the toll will be AED 4 per crossing. Late-night hours from 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM will have no charges.

During Ramadan, the toll calculation for crossings at specific gates like Al Safa North, Al Safa South, Al Mamzar North, and Al Mamzar South in the same direction within one hour will remain unchanged. The toll will only be charged once during this period to facilitate smoother traffic flow.

Salik initially introduced a dynamic toll pricing system across all its toll gates on January 31, 2025, with the goal of enhancing road efficiency and improving traffic flow for motorists in Dubai.

Throughout the year, Salik operates a flexible toll system. During regular days, peak hours (6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM) will have a toll of AED 6 per crossing. Off-peak hours (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM) will see a toll of AED 4 per crossing. Late-night hours (1:00 AM to 6:00 AM) every day will not incur any charges.

On Sundays, excluding public holidays and special occasions, a flat rate of AED 4 per crossing will apply throughout the day, including peak and off-peak hours, excluding late-night hours.

The new toll pricing strategy aims to promote better traffic distribution, alleviate congestion during peak periods, and ensure a more seamless driving experience for all road users in Dubai.
