Dino Varki, the General Director of James Education with headquarters in Dubai, stated to Reuters that the company plans to invest around 300 million dollars to expand its operations in countries with low to middle income.
According to him, James Education focuses on countries in Africa and Southeast Asia, where there is a high demand for children and youth. The company is looking to invest in digital platforms, software solutions, and educational resources for educational institutions in the specified regions.
"We want to scale our business with the help of technology and other solutions in the education sector to expand access to educational opportunities for students living in resource-constrained areas," Varki emphasized.
He also noted that the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated digital transformation in the education sector and highlighted the importance of online education.
