Sterling Hospitality released a report on how the pandemic has changed travel preferences. According to this report, after the recent outbreak of coronavirus, people have become more cautious in planning their trips. More than 60% of respondents indicated that they now prefer expensive routes where they can avoid crowded places.

"Moreover, we found that an important aspect has become the availability of options for flexible cancellations or changes to booking dates," noted the company's representative. "Also, the majority of respondents expressed a preference for hotels that offer contactless registration and accommodation services," he added.

In addition, the study showed that travelers have become increasingly concerned about safety measures and the cleanliness of rooms and facilities. More than 70% of survey participants consider it essential for hotels to adhere to cleanliness and safety standards.

"We see a clear trend that for many people safety is becoming a priority when choosing a place to stay during their travels. This is an important observation for hoteliers, who need to focus on improving their services and standards," concluded the representative of Sterling Hospitality.
