Significant Price Reductions on Products During Ramadan

Major retailers in the UAE are offering substantial discounts on various products during Ramadan, with price differences reaching up to 60%. Consumers are encouraged to compare prices online for the best deals.

Significant Price Reductions on Products During Ramadan

During the month of Ramadan, stores offer discounts on various products. Some of them propose discounts of up to 60%. For example, one of the stores reduced the price of the famous "Basmati" rice from 72 dirhams to 28 dirhams for a 5-kilogram package. This constitutes a whole 60% difference from the offer in another store.

Another store launched an action on the vacuum-packed "Ful Medames," lowering the price from 22.95 to 14.95 dirhams, while in another place this same product is sold for 10.95 dirhams - a difference of 26.7%.

Many consumers note that they compare prices in different shopping locations, especially during Ramadan, when promotions become more intense and discounts significant. Some of them emphasize the importance of conducting such comparisons to obtain the best offers and point out that this is made easy, as many deals are already available online on store websites and platforms.

Stores in the UAE assert that strong competition between them, including online platforms, leads to substantial discounts on products. Various factors influence the overall level of discounts, such as the percentage of store profits, agreements with suppliers regarding discount levels, and delivery costs.

Many buyers report that they have discovered significant differences in prices, with discounts exceeding 40%. For example, one store lowered the price of luxury varieties of dates from 55 to 45 dirhams, while another offered this same product for 25 dirhams, which makes it 44.4% cheaper, prompting them to choose the product.

Thus, stores continue to compete in providing advantageous offers for consumers, making it one of the most appealing aspects of shopping during the month of Ramadan.
