Nomura Bank Expands Wealth Management in Dubai

Nomura Bank from Japan plans to increase the number of employees in its wealth management department in Dubai after achieving high profits last year. According to Ravi Rajju, head of international wealth management at Nomura, the bank is again hiring employees in Dubai and Singapore, and is also expanding its office in the region.

"We have managed to achieve the goal of increasing profits over the past 18 months earlier than planned," Rajju noted in an interview with Bloomberg. Now the new office in Dubai will be twice as large as the previous one and will accommodate up to 60 people.

Under the current five-year plan, the bank aims to double the volume of managed assets in the international subsidiary to more than $60 billion.
