The number of hotel rooms in Dubai by the end of March was 153.7 thousand, compared to approximately 152 thousand in the previous year. Currently, the number of functioning hotels is 832.
It is noted that the number of rooms in five-star hotels is 54.4 thousand rooms in 169 hotels, which accounts for 35% of the total number of hotel rooms in Dubai. Following them are four-star hotels with a share of 29%, offering 44 thousand rooms in 199 hotels. The three-star and two-star category hotels account for 19% of the hotel market - collectively, they represent more than 29.3 thousand rooms in 278 hotels. Serviced apartments number more than 26 thousand rooms in 186 establishments, taking 17% of the total volume of the hotel services market.
The average length of stay of guests in hotels in Dubai by the end of March reached 3.8 nights, which corresponds to the indicator for the same period last year. The total number of booked rooms amounted to around 11.19 million, compared to 11.2 million for the same period last year. The average room rate in hotels in Dubai rose to 647 dirhams by March 2025, which is significantly higher than the year before. The average income from available rooms was 528 dirhams.
Tourists from Western Europe in the first quarter of this year numbered 1.15 million, making up 22% of the total number of visitors, which was 5.31 million. Following them are the CIS countries and Eastern Europe with 891 thousand tourists (17%), while in third place are the countries of the Soviet Union with 772 thousand tourists (15%). The Southeast Asian region with 752 thousand tourists has a share of 14%, while the Middle East and Northern Africa have 620 thousand tourists - 12%. Northern and Southern Asia each have a share of 9% with 474 thousand tourists, America - 7% with 374 thousand visitors. Africa accounts for 4% (197 thousand tourists), while Oceania has 1% or 78 thousand tourists.
