Eurozone Economy Shows Slow Growth in April

The new request showed that the economy of the Eurozone continues to grow in April, although with a reduced pace due to weak demand and a factual decline in the diminishing services sector, which evidences the fragility of the economic recovery of the region.

According to this data, the index of business activity in the Eurozone in April remained above the level of 50, which divides growth and contraction, however it declined compared to the previous month. This indicates that the economy is still under the influence of the pandemic, and the recovery is unstable.

"Despite some positive moments in individual sectors, we are observing a slowdown in the pace of recovery due to the lack of demand for services due to ongoing restrictions and uncertainty," noted an economist in their commentary.

Experts warned that additional efforts are necessary to support sustainable economic growth and overcome the aftermath of the pandemic.
