The total volume of standard containers (TEU), including groupage, reached 26.2 million, which is 5% more than the analytical forecast for the same period last year. The result was achieved thanks to the successful work of key company terminals, including the ports of Dubai, London, Jeddah, and Salalah.
Key figures were recorded in the emirates of Dubai, where the single terminal operator exceeded the forecast, and the Hub Terminal Services division increased its volume by 10%. High results were also recorded in the British ports of Felixstowe and Southampton, as well as in Yemen, despite the difficult economic and political situation. In general, the company managed to reduce costs in a number of regions by optimizing operational efficiency and modernizing infrastructure.
DP World President and CEO, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, noted that the record volume of container throughput confirms the company's position as one of the leading global logistics hubs. According to him, the successful work of port terminals in different countries is an important part of the company's strategy aimed at increasing the cost-effectiveness and reliability of supply chains. Sulayem also emphasized the importance of long-term investment in digitalization and eco-friendly technologies to meet the future demands of global trade.
The company plans to invest the remaining funds in the development of transport corridors and the expansion of partnership ties. In the coming years, DP World will focus on launching new projects, including the modernization of terminals in India and Africa, as well as the implementation of automated warehouse management systems. The company's goal is to strengthen its position in the market by optimizing key links in the logistics chain, ensuring reliable and efficient freight forwarding in global economic corridors.
