Miral Trains and Empowers Over 2,000 Emirati Talents

Mariam Al-Mashrak, Executive Director of Human Resources at Miral Group, stated that the Emirati talent attraction and training programs have secured jobs for over 2,000 Emirati nationals in the tourism and entertainment sector, with more than 1,000 of them employed by Miral. Al-Mashrak explained during the 'Talent Development and Corporate Culture 2025' forum, organized by Miral and inaugurated by Minister of State for Entrepreneurship Alia Al Mazrouei, that there are three programs for attracting Emirati talent at Miral. The first, 'My Skills,' launched in 2021, targets recent university graduates without experience, helping them secure employment. To date, 140 graduates from this program have been hired by Miral, with over 95% of all graduates finding jobs both within and outside the company. She added that hundreds of Emiratis from the 'Ambassador' program, which aims to increase the number of Emiratis in various entertainment destinations, have been hired. Many of them now hold diverse roles, including visitor experience and operational support positions at Miral and other entities. Regarding the third program, 'Future Leaders,' Al-Mashrak clarified that its graduates work as Assistant Managers for a year and a half before being promoted to Manager upon successful completion. Meanwhile, Miral Group's CEO, Mohamed Abdullah Al Zaabi, noted that the company's localization and training programs have been highly successful. Five graduates from these programs have been appointed as managers of five entertainment cities and cultural destinations in Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, over 150 Emirati men and women, who benefited from training and young leadership initiatives, have been placed in leadership positions across Miral's teams on Yas and Saadiyat islands. These efforts are part of a rapid localization program aimed at achieving the goals of Abu Dhabi Vision 2030. Al Zaabi also mentioned that Miral is currently working on enhancing its training programs to attract an even greater number of Emirati talents in the future.
