Eaton, a company specializing in intelligent energy management solutions, announced yesterday the start of construction for the first phase of its new and advanced sustainable manufacturing, engineering, and training facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA). According to a press release issued yesterday, this investment will create more than 700 new job opportunities, including advanced positions in research and development, engineering, and manufacturing, to meet the needs of Eaton's customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The new facility, spanning 36,000 square meters, will leverage 20 different technologies from the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including artificial intelligence, which will enhance Dubai's capabilities in producing advanced electrical and electronic components essential for vital sectors such as data centers, commercial buildings, and public utilities. Thanks to its strategic location in JAFZA, Eaton will benefit from world-class infrastructure and integrated logistics networks through Jebel Ali Port to efficiently deliver its solutions to regional and international markets. The facility, scheduled to open in 2026, will also house a strategic engineering center staffed by top engineers specializing in product development, smart and sustainable manufacturing, as well as innovative energy management solutions for data centers, facilities, commercial buildings, and other critical sectors.
