 
        
        The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai revealed the latest statistics on the performance of the tourism sector and the number of international visitors. The data showed the emirate's success in attracting 13.95 million international tourists during the first nine months of 2025, compared to 13.29 million in the same period of 2024, marking a growth of about 5%. According to data obtained by 'Emirates Today', Western Europe ranked first as the source of tourists to Dubai, accounting for 21% of the total number of visitors between January and September 2025, recording over 2.86 million international tourists. It was followed by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region with around 16%, recording nearly 2.3 million tourists. South Asia ranked third with about 15%, recording nearly 2 million tourists. Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Eastern Europe accounted for about 14%, recording over 1.98 million tourists. The Middle East and North Africa region recorded 1.55 million tourists, accounting for 11% of the total, while North and Southeast Asian countries accounted for 9% of the total, recording over 1.3 million international tourists. The total number of international tourists from the Americas reached over 978,000, accounting for 7% of the total, compared to a share of about 5% for Africa, with the number of visitors reaching around 627,000. Meanwhile, the 'Australasia' region accounted for about 2% with a rate of 290,000 international tourists. By the end of September 2025, the total number of hotel rooms in Dubai exceeded 152,300 across 819 hotel establishments, compared to around 152,000 rooms in 826 establishments at the end of September 2024. The average hotel occupancy rate across all operating establishments in Dubai was 78.7% during the period from January to September 2025, compared to 76.4% in the same period of 2024. Five-star hotel rooms accounted for 36% of Dubai's total hotel market size, recording around 54,300 rooms in 169 hotel establishments. This was followed by four-star hotel rooms with a 28% share, recording around 43,200 rooms in 194 establishments. Three-star and one-star hotels accounted for about 19% of the total hotel market size, with a capacity exceeding 29,300 rooms in 276 hotel establishments, while serviced apartments recorded over 25,500 rooms in 180 establishments, thus accounting for about 17% of Dubai's total hotel market size. The average length of stay for guests in Dubai hotels by the end of September was 3.6 nights, compared to 3.6 nights in the same period of 2024. The number of room nights booked reached around 32.7 million, compared to about 31.2 million during the comparison period, marking a growth of about 5%. The average daily rate for a hotel room in Dubai reached 509 dirhams by the end of September 2025, compared to 487 dirhams in the same period last year, marking a 5% growth. The average revenue per available room (RevPAR) reached 401 dirhams by the end of September last year, compared to 372 dirhams in the same period last year, marking a growth of about 8%.
