Former England and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, who moved with his family to Dubai in August, commented on this trend. He said: "The taxes that the rich pay in Britain are not benefiting society. I don't think people mind paying taxes if, for example, the health services were great and working perfectly. But when you see things falling apart and going in the wrong direction, you start to think and ask yourself: is what I'm paying really going to those who deserve it? This big question needs an answer, and I think many of us know it."
