Dubai's Used Boat Exhibition Concludes with High Attendance

The 11th edition of the used boat exhibition, organized by 'Via Marine' (a subsidiary of 'Dubai Golf') at Dubai Creek Marina, concluded the day before yesterday evening, marking significant success in terms of attendance and sales. Over three days, the exhibition attracted over 5,000 visitors, including sea lovers, investors, and enthusiasts interested in acquiring luxury yachts and boats, reinforcing Dubai's position as a regional leader in the boat manufacturing and trade industry. Under the theme 'A Boat for Everyone,' the 11th edition featured more than 50 local, regional, and international brands, showcasing over 64 yachts and boats—a 20% increase compared to the previous edition. The offerings varied, including luxury yachts, recreational boats, and fast vessels to suit different segments and budgets. The exhibition drew visitors' attention to rare and innovative yachts, such as the 'Riva Gucci,' one of only ten in the world priced at approximately three million dirhams, and the 'Greenline 40 Hybrid,' equipped with solar energy systems to power its amenities, reflecting the market's shift towards sustainability and innovation in the boating sector. Prices varied to cater to different market segments: the 'Riva 82 Deva' 2024 model topped the list at 30 million dirhams, while the American 'Chaparral' boat was priced at around 68,000 dirhams. The exhibition was also distinguished by offers for financing, insurance, and comprehensive maintenance, as well as a retail area featuring the latest marine equipment, smart navigation systems, and hybrid payment technologies. This success comes amid the continuous growth of the marine sector in Dubai, where the number of registered sea vessels reached 7,738 in 2024, a 14.4% increase from the previous year. The UAE accounts for about 50% of the market for yacht and boat marinas in the Gulf and Middle East region, thanks to its advanced infrastructure, which includes over 22 marinas with a capacity exceeding 4,000 yachts and boats. Abdullah Ali Al-Noon, Projects Manager at 'Dubai Golf' and Head of 'Via Marine,' stated that 'the current edition has once again highlighted Dubai's leading role in supporting the growth of the boat and yacht industry.' He noted that the high turnout reflects the confidence of international partners in the emirate's comprehensive investment environment. Al-Noon added that the exhibition's success serves as a motivation to continue its development, attract new brands, and expand the range of boats on display to meet the growing demand in regional and global markets. The exhibition served as a strategic platform for deals and exploring investment and business opportunities, contributing to the goals of Dubai's economic agenda 'D33,' aimed at enhancing its position as the world's best city for living, working, and investing.
