Dubai Airshow 2025: Deal Volume Exceeds 153 Billion Dirhams

On the first day of the Dubai Airshow 2025, deals worth over 153 billion dirhams were signed for 92 aircraft. Emirates ordered 65 Boeing 777-9, and other airlines and military contracts were concluded.

The total value of the announced and confirmed deals during the first day of the Dubai Airshow, the largest in its history, amounted to approximately 153 billion dirhams for the purchase of 92 aircraft of various models, in addition to military deals. Boeing secured the largest portion of the orders.

Emirates, the world's largest international airline, kicked off the first day of the Dubai Airshow 2025 with an order for 65 additional Boeing 777-9 aircraft powered by GE9X engines, valued at $38 billion (approximately 139.5 billion dirhams).

FlyDubai and General Electric Aviation signed a new agreement to purchase 60 GEnx-1B engines to power the airline's first widebody fleet, consisting of 30 Boeing 787-9 aircraft with these engines. The agreement also includes spare engines and long-term support services to facilitate the launch of the airline's long-haul operations.

The value of deals concluded for the UAE Ministry of Defense during the first day of the Dubai Airshow, which included 6 local deals worth 3.04 billion dirhams and 2 international deals worth 725 million dirhams, totaled 3.7 billion dirhams.

Additionally, Ethiopian Airlines placed an order for 11 additional Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with an estimated value of 4.7 billion dirhams.

Helvetic Airways announced an order for three additional Embraer E195-E2 aircraft and five purchase options for additional aircraft, with an estimated value of 660 million dirhams.

Air Senegal ordered nine Boeing 737-MAX aircraft, with an estimated value of 3.9 billion dirhams.

Côte d'Ivoire Airways, the national carrier of the Ivory Coast, placed a firm order for four Embraer E175 aircraft, with an estimated value of 690 million dirhams, as part of its fleet modernization and regional expansion strategy.
