The Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, stated that the UAE markets have seen the entry of more than 1,655 new German companies since the beginning of January until early November 2025, achieving a growth of 20.3% compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the country attracted 627 new German brands, reflecting the continuous growth of the economic activities of the German business community in the state.
This came during a meeting between bin Touq and the German Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy, Katja Reiche, in Dubai Expo City, aiming to develop the economic partnership between the UAE and Germany, and to enhance economic and investment cooperation in the fields of the new economy, tourism, entrepreneurship, agriculture, food, transport, and technology in the upcoming phase, which supports the sustainability and competitiveness of the two countries' economies.
Bin Touq affirmed that the UAE and Germany are linked by strong and growing economic relations that cover the vital sectors of both countries, embodying an advanced model of economic partnership.
He added: "This meeting represents an important opportunity to expand the partnership between the UAE and the Federal Republic of Germany and push it to higher levels of coordination by enabling business communities to access new opportunities and develop channels for exchanging experiences and expertise, especially since the two countries share common development visions and comprehensive economic and tourism components that support the partnership at both government and private levels, and enhance the prospects for company growth and mutual investment flows."
The Emirati and German sides discussed mechanisms to enhance cooperation and facilitate access for Emirati and German companies to promising opportunities in priority sectors in their markets. The two parties also touched on the importance of tourism as a hub for cooperation and partnership in the upcoming phase, exploring ways to boost travel between the two countries and expand joint tourism programs, especially as the UAE received about 165,000 German tourists in 2024.
