Dubai is consolidating its position as one of the world's top destinations for travelers next December, with five key markets leading the growth: Britain, India, the United States, China, and Australia. All of these are experiencing a significant influx of tourists to the emirate during the holiday season and New Year celebrations.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, revealed that Dubai is witnessing strong global demand, noting that nearly 30% of the total demand for the airline's flights from its global network is heading to Dubai. This reflects the emirate's strength as a preferred destination for travelers across different continents.
In an interview with "Emirates Today" on the sidelines of the Dubai Air Show 2025, Kazim said: "Demand for travel to Dubai continues to rise, with the airline seeing an increase in demand of between 5% and 10% in December, coinciding with the holiday season, New Year celebrations, and the annual tourism momentum the emirate experiences."
He added that the number and proportion of travelers to Dubai from various stations are increasing significantly, explaining that Emirates flights to several global destinations are showing full or near-full occupancy throughout December, a clear indicator of strong demand for travel with the airline.
He continued: "There are a large number of markets that are experiencing high demand in December, and preliminary indicators show that markets like Britain, India, and the United States, which are experiencing strong tourist flows, as well as China and Australia, are the top five markets showing growth in demand for travel to Dubai in December."
Kazim confirmed that "the strong performance reflects the emirate's strong presence on the global tourism map as one of the leading destinations, and the increasing interest in its unique experiences, advanced infrastructure, and global events." He said: "We are witnessing growing interest from families and travelers for leisure purposes, driven by the wide variety of events and year-end offers."
Kazim pointed out that Emirates continues to invest in expanding its global network and increasing seat capacity to meet the strong travel demand, noting that the airline is looking to increase flights to a number of destinations that are showing growth.
