Dubai Customs and the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) of the UAE discussed mechanisms to enhance operational efficiency and unify procedures. This was announced during a meeting between Dr. Abdullah Busnad, Director General of Dubai Customs, and Khalid Al Bastani, Director General of the FTA, attended by several leaders and experts. The meeting aimed to explore ways to strengthen institutional integration and information exchange to support the efficiency of customs and tax procedures. Busnad affirmed that cooperation with the FTA constitutes a national model for the integration of government roles, which will enhance information flow and develop more flexible and effective procedures, contributing to the support of the business environment. Al Bastani expressed the FTA's keenness to work with Dubai Customs to unify efforts and boost the efficiency of the tax and customs infrastructure, confirming that the information linkage and integration between the two entities will enable the provision of more accurate and faster services and elevate the capabilities of tax administration with an innovative methodology.
