The UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism met with his Irish counterpart in Dubai to discuss enhancing cooperation in the new economy and tourism sectors, and supporting public-private partnerships between the two nations.


UAE Minister of Economy discusses expanding tourism and economic cooperation with Irish counterpart

Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, held a bilateral meeting in Dubai with Peter Burke, Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Employment of Ireland, to discuss enhancing cooperation in the sectors of the new economy and future tourism projects and to explore opportunities to support partnerships between the public and private sectors in the UAE and Ireland. During the meeting, Bin Touq affirmed that the relations between the UAE and Ireland are based on solid foundations of cooperation in priority economic and development areas for both countries, including the sectors of the new economy, hospitality, and tourism. He also indicated that the tourism sector is one of the main pillars of this cooperation.
