The Emirates company has announced its partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Airbus to provide an enhanced Crew Best Training and Assessment (CBTA) program for its pilots on Airbus A350 aircraft, while preparing to receive 65 such aircraft. In addition to pilot training, various other teams within the airline are also continuing to prepare for the first flights on A350 aircraft, including maintenance and engineering teams, as well as many other departments. A specially developed program for Airbus A350 supports the integration of new aircraft into our fleet and plans are for 1000 pilots to undergo qualification courses on A350 aircraft. This initiative aligns with Emirates' commitment to providing the highest standards of service and comfort with operational growth and expansion support. The Vice President of Flight Operations, Safety and IATA Safety Nik Karin emphasized that the partnership between Emirates, Airbus, and IATA in developing and providing training for pilots on A350 presents a unique opportunity to maximize the benefits of CBTA advantages for preparing pilots on A350 in the most efficient and effective way. Airbus Training Director Captain Stefan Labroscher noted that Airbus A350 requires advanced training solutions, and the partnership with IATA and Emirates ensures that the company’s pilots receive the most comprehensive and effective training, contributing to the introduction of A350 into operation. This training program is one of the ways Emirates is preparing its new Airbus A350 for the start of flights. The program will be divided into two stages and include 20 days of simulator training and 15 separate assessment sessions. Emirates Training Director Captain Badr El-Marzouki highlighted that this program provides internal training based on competency with qualified instructors, providing pilots with global operational support capabilities. The initial group of 256 pilots will undergo training in the new course at the Emirates Training Academy in Dubai from July 2024. The advanced pilot training program combines IATA principles and documents with operational experience and Emirates resources to create a unique learning module in the aviation industry. The program uses innovative technologies for real-time analysis of training session data, providing pilots with instant feedback and the ability to make immediate performance improvements.
