Dubai Customs has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Trademark Owners Council, aiming to enhance cooperation in protecting intellectual property rights and combating counterfeit goods. This is part of the 'Project Zero' initiative, launched by Dubai Customs to become a leading global model in combating the circulation of counterfeit goods. The memorandum was signed on behalf of Dubai Customs by Mansour Al Malik, Executive Director of the Policies and Legislation Sector, and on behalf of the Trademark Owners Council by Malik Hannous, Chairman of the Board of Directors, in the presence of a number of leaders from both sides. This memorandum forms a strategic framework for institutional cooperation and the exchange of expertise and information between the two parties, contributing to the development of effective mechanisms for protecting trademarks.
