The new tax laws in Britain will see restaurants pay a 76% increase in taxes, along with rising electricity bills, supply chain issues, and a decline in customers due to reduced spending. Pep Guardiola, the Spanish manager of Manchester City, had collaborated with fellow countrymen CEO Ferran Soriano and former City sporting director Txiki Begiristain to invest in the restaurant in 2018. He hired the renowned Spanish chef, Perez, who holds five Michelin stars across his three restaurants, to attract diners. The restaurant "Tast Catala", owned by Pep Guardiola, has issued a statement on its official website announcing it will close next Saturday due to what it described as "difficult trading conditions and increased operating costs".
