Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has confirmed its full readiness to provide electricity and water services in accordance with the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, and quality, supporting the needs of the Emirate of Dubai during various occasions and events. The Authority continues to intensify its efforts by deploying teams of engineers and technicians across the Emirate to ensure the continuous provision of reliable 24/7 services.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has confirmed its full readiness to provide electricity and water services in accordance with the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, and quality, supporting the needs of the Emirate of Dubai during various occasions and events. The Authority notes that it continues to intensify its efforts by deploying teams of engineers and technicians across the Emirate to ensure the continuous provision of reliable 24/7 services. According to the Authority, its plans for the 2026 New Year celebrations include implementing preventive maintenance and comprehensive inspections of stations and networks. It is noted that the Authority relies on predictive analysis systems to monitor the performance of electricity and water networks. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said: "In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, we are working to provide a modern and integrated infrastructure for electricity and water to meet the growing demand and keep pace with the requirements of sustainable development in Dubai." He added: "Smart grids are a fundamental component of the Authority's strategy to develop advanced infrastructure for managing utilities and services through smart and interconnected systems based on the latest transformative technologies and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. We also strive to integrate our efforts with other government entities in Dubai to deliver the Emirate's various events in a manner that befits Dubai's reputation for organizing the world's best shows and major events, and enhancing the Emirate's global competitiveness in service quality." He continued: "We have achieved a new world record in average electricity outage time per subscriber, where Dubai recorded less than one minute (0.94 minutes) of outage per subscriber annually in 2024, reflecting the Authority's high capability to restore services during faults or unplanned situations." Al Tayer said: "The Authority's plans for the 2026 New Year celebrations include implementing preventive maintenance and comprehensive inspections of stations and networks. The Authority also relies on predictive analysis systems to monitor the performance of electricity and water networks, in addition to the latest AI-supported intelligent monitoring and analysis systems, ensuring network stability, rapid response to any operational developments, and providing a seamless and safe experience for all."
