The Authority launched «Rammass», an AI-powered assistant, in 2017, and in April 2023, the Authority enhanced «Rammass» with «ChatGPT» technology, making the Authority the first service entity in the world and the first government entity in the United Arab Emirates to use generative AI to interact with customers and respond to their inquiries. «Rammass» relies on the latest AI model to generate real-time responses by extracting relevant information directly from the Authority's website content. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority's virtual employee «Rammass», powered by generative AI and «ChatGPT» technology, provided over 1.6 million instant and accurate answers in both languages during the year 2025. Since its launch in 2017 until the end of 2025, «Rammass» has answered more than 12.7 million inquiries through the various communication channels provided by the Authority.
