Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, stated that changes in dietary patterns and the behavior of new generations regarding food have put the food sector and food industries at the forefront of the ministry's current priorities. He explained that the work behind the scenes on developing economic sectors, or clusters, did not receive sufficient attention in the past, but the picture has changed, especially in the food and food industries sector. The ministry has developed a clear roadmap for this sector after identifying more than 30 concerned entities that must be engaged with.
