Dubai Customs received a high-level delegation from the Sultanate of Oman on an official visit aimed at strengthening institutional relations and expanding areas of cooperation in customs, logistics, and technical fields. This aligns with the rapid developments in global trade and supply chains. The Dubai Customs delegation was led by Director General Dr. Abdullah Busnad, accompanied by several executive directors, while the Omani delegation was headed by the Director of Dhofar Customs, Colonel Khalifa bin Talib bin Isa al-Masqari, and included a number of specialists in information systems, free zones, and customs operations. The visit featured an expanded coordination meeting during which ways to develop customs procedures and enhance operational efficiency were discussed. Additionally, a number of strategic projects and initiatives of mutual interest were reviewed, and best practices applied by Dubai Customs were presented, particularly in the areas of smart solutions, process automation, trade facilitation, and promoting compliance with the highest global standards. The two sides also discussed future cooperation prospects in information systems, free zone development, and adopting advanced technologies in customs operations management, contributing to enhancing institutional readiness and supporting the requirements of the upcoming phase. The visit concluded with a reaffirmation of the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman and the commitment of both sides to continue coordination and joint cooperation to serve mutual interests and enhance their standing as leading regional and global logistics and trade hubs.
