Dubai Airports announced that Dubai International Airport received 95.2 million passengers in 2025, a 3.1% increase from the previous year, making it the busiest airport in its history and the highest in the world for international passenger traffic. The year 2025 witnessed exceptional performance, with the airport achieving several record daily, monthly, and quarterly figures, along with an annual passenger count that was the highest in its history while operating at maximum capacity, all while maintaining high levels of operational excellence. December concluded 2025 as the busiest month in the airport's history, welcoming 8.7 million passengers, a 6.1% increase from the previous year. The fourth quarter was also the busiest ever, handling 25.1 million passengers, a 5.9% increase from the same period in 2024. Total flights in the fourth quarter reached 118,000, a 5% increase on a quarterly basis, bringing the total number of flights for 2025 to 454,800, a 3.3% annual increase. The annual seat load factor was 77.6%, with a slight decrease of 0.5 percentage points. Consistency in Performance The year 2025 demonstrated Dubai International Airport's ability to achieve operational sustainability and provide a premium guest experience at record levels through meticulous planning and close coordination within the oneDXB airport community, comprising airlines, service partners, and government entities. Dubai International Airport handled 86.75 million bags in 2025, a 4.95% annual increase, setting a new record for the highest annual baggage handling in its history. The average time to complete travel procedures remained stable despite the passenger traffic reaching new record highs. On average, 99.35% of departing guests at passport control waited less than 10 minutes, while 98.8% of arriving passengers waited less than 15 minutes to complete arrival procedures. The time to complete security screening was under 5 minutes for 98.9% of passengers. A Balanced and Comprehensive Global Network India maintained its position as the largest market for Dubai International Airport with 11.9 million passengers, followed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with 7.5 million, then the United Kingdom with 6.3 million, Pakistan with 4.3 million, and the United States with 3.3 million passengers. Affirming Dubai International Airport's commitment to the highest standards of operational excellence, 89% of arriving baggage was delivered to guests within 45 minutes of the aircraft's arrival. The airport also maintained a world-class level of baggage handling accuracy at 99.75%, which is an average of 2.47 delayed bags per 1,000 passengers.
