According to a report by the Central Bank of the UAE, the number of local banks remained stable at 23 banks, while the number of electronic banking service units and cash offices reached 45 and 21 respectively by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025. The number of local bank branches in the UAE decreased, with the total number of branches reaching 447 by the end of December 2025, a decrease of 36 branches compared to 483 branches at the end of December 2024. The number of bank ATMs in the UAE decreased by 405, totaling 4,384 machines by the end of December 2025, compared to 4,789 machines at the end of 2024. According to the report, the number of Gulf banks continues to remain stable by the end of the fourth quarter.
