Manchester United has announced an operating profit of £32.6 million for the first half of the current financial year, compared to a loss of £3.9 million for the same period last year. Operating profit in the fourth quarter rose to £19.6 million. The club's CEO, Omar Berrada, stated that the positive financial impact followed an administrative restructuring that included reducing the number of employees, which led to recording operating profits. These results came after a restructuring program overseen by minority shareholder and head of football operations Jim Ratcliffe, which resulted in the elimination of about 450 jobs as part of a plan to cut operating costs.
