Dubai Health Authority has announced a strategic partnership with 'Positive Zero', a company specializing in sustainable energy solutions. The partnership aims to accelerate the transition to clean energy and deploy solar power systems across 26 of its healthcare facilities. This initiative supports the emirate's strategy to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
Under this partnership, solar systems with a total capacity exceeding 14.1 megawatts will be installed on building rooftops and in parking areas. This will enhance operational efficiency and environmental sustainability while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
It is expected that the systems at 13 facilities will generate approximately 10,700 megawatt-hours of electricity in their first year of operation alone.
