GCAA Activates Plans to Manage Passenger Traffic in UAE

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates has announced the activation of operational plans to contain the repercussions of regional developments. The UAE's aviation sector continues to manage passenger traffic in an organized and flexible manner, mitigating the impact of successive flight schedule amendments. This limits operational disruptions and ensures smooth procedures across the country's airport terminals. The Authority stated that airports and national carriers are working in an integrated manner according to approved plans. Temporary accommodation, meals, and refreshments have been provided to transit passengers, along with facilitating rebooking procedures. The country's national carriers, in coordination with authorities, have also managed affected arriving and departing flights. Over the past hours, the nation's airports and carriers have handled approximately 20,200 passengers affected by flight rescheduling. The GCAA renewed its call for passengers to follow official updates and contact their airlines directly. The State is bearing all accommodation and hosting costs for affected passengers, ensuring essential services continue during operational adjustments.
