Banks Announce Temporary Fee Waivers During Ramadan

Banks in the country have announced initiatives that include a temporary waiver of fees for some banking services, coinciding with the month of Ramadan and the approach of Eid al-Fitr. This step aims to reduce the financial burden on customers and enhance ease of access to banking services during the holy month. According to what these banks published on their platforms, these measures are valid until March 31 of this year. The initiatives included waivers of fees for international money transfers via smart applications, fees for postponing the monthly installment or withdrawing cash from ATMs of other banks within the country and Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to abolishing fees for replacing and issuing debit cards to customers for a limited period, as well as waiving transfer fees for transactions executed at branches. These initiatives also provided greater flexibility in using electronic banking services and cards, which helps customers manage their financial transactions easily. These initiatives come as part of the banks' approach to enhancing customer support and providing more flexible financial services, especially during periods that see an increase in spending and money transfers.
