Ghurf Real Estate Development, a subsidiary of 'Ghurf Group' specializing in freehold property development, has announced the appointment of Portuguese firm Aires Mateus as the principal architect for its upcoming residential project in the 'Dubai South' area. This appointment marks the first presence of the firm, which is based in Lisbon, in the United Arab Emirates. This aligns with Ghurf Real Estate Development's approach of collaborating with elite international architects. Sultan Al Ghurf, CEO of Ghurf Real Estate Development, stated: 'We choose each architect we work with for their distinctive vision and the qualitative value they add to every project. With Aires Mateus, what impressed us most was the discipline that governs their approach. We are pleased to present their work in the UAE for the first time.' The firm will design a residential building in Dubai South, featuring a curated selection of one, two, and three-bedroom homes, alongside duplex units. The founding partners of Aires Mateus, Manuel Aires Mateus and Francisco Aires Mateus, said: 'In Dubai, the context imposes its presence with force and clarity.'
