Silver Line Gate Group (SLG Group) has initiated the construction of a new integrated manufacturing facility at Dubai Industrial City with an investment of AED 200 million. This facility marks a significant milestone in Dubai's journey to establish itself as a global manufacturing powerhouse in line with the goals of the National Food Security Strategy 2051.
Shereen Saeed, General Manager at SLG Group, emphasized the importance of this project, stating that it would strengthen the regional value chain for F&B products. The facility, equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies, is expected to create 300 new jobs and contribute significantly to Dubai's manufacturing and logistics economy. Upon operational commencement, the hub will cater to customers across the GCC, African, and Southeast Asian markets.
Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group on behalf of Dubai Industrial City, highlighted the significance of sustainable F&B value chains in ensuring global food security. This initiative aligns with Dubai's vision for economic excellence through collaborative innovation in the manufacturing sector.
The new facility will enable SLG Group to expand its production capacity of milk powder, butter, whey, and specialty products like fruit and vegetable-based seasonings. Leveraging Dubai Industrial City's strategic location and infrastructure, SLG Group aims to fortify the regional manufacturing economy and ensure a resilient supply chain for essential products.
The project is part of Make Brilliance, launched by Dubai Industrial City to promote advanced manufacturing in the food sector. By partnering with the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and DET, Dubai Industrial City aims to attract international manufacturers to establish and export from Dubai and the UAE.
