The media reported on the visit of representatives of several energy companies from South Korea to the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to experience DEWA's efforts in the field of renewable and clean energy, as well as on recent innovations and technologies developed by the organization. The group was led by Kim Soong Soo, senior vice president of the Southeast Asia and AEA International Energy Group, who visited the "Sustainability and Innovation" and "Research and Development" DEWA centers in the solar energy zone of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
DEWA reported that as part of the visit, the delegation visited their facilities and listened to presentations from staff at the research and development center about the "Green Hydrogen" project. This project is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, aimed at the production of hydrogen using solar energy. The hydrogen reserve can store up to 12 hours of hydrogen.
An experienced facility has been developed and deployed, producing green hydrogen through electrolysis of water using renewable energy sources. It is capable of producing various hydrogen applications, including the production of electric energy and advancing within the framework of the green hydrogen strategy.
Additionally, the delegation was introduced to the capabilities of the "Sustainability and Innovation" center, which serves as a global incubator for innovations in the field of renewable and clean energy. The center offers a unique experience for visitors, allowing them to explore the latest innovations in the field of clean energy technologies. The exhibition space on the first floor of the DEWA center demonstrates the history of the organization, key inventions, and achievements in the field of electric energy, as well as recent developments in the field of renewable and sustainable energy.
