ITA Airways has launched its first nonstop flight between Dubai and Rome Fiumicino, marking a significant milestone for the airline. This new route aims to strengthen the airline's presence in the Middle East, complementing its existing services to Riyadh and Jeddah.
The inaugural flight, AZ 856, was serviced with an Airbus A321neo and landed at Dubai International (DXB) at 7:50 p.m. local time, setting the stage for a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by key figures in the aviation industry.
Emiliana Limosani, Chief Commercial Officer of ITA Airways, expressed excitement about the new route, highlighting the airline's commitment to providing optimal travel solutions and expanding its network strategically. The company aims to offer daily flights between Rome and Dubai, catering to both leisure and business travelers.

The airline's winter season will see additional routes, including a new direct flight to Bangkok and increased frequencies to Malé, the capital of the Maldives. ITA Airways plans to operate 53 destinations during the 2024/2025 Winter Season, aligning with its goal of becoming Europe's greenest carrier and prioritizing customer service and sustainability.
